Little experimentation with gardening in a mobile home

I've been living in Nanaimo since the fall of 2006 in a mobile home by which the spot somewhat suitable for gardening gets only about 2-3 hours of sunshine. So I moved my little garden partly on the roof.

Photo 1. Last spring and summer (in between the gleaning in Nanaimo and babysitting in Winnipeg) I've been moving the four separate sheds of various sizes that came with the house, and compacted them into a single structure joined with the home. In this process the roof of one of them ended up turned upside down on top of the largest one, was filled with soil and turned into a tiny garden. Here it is shown on June 26, 2007 from the top of the yet unfinished veranda roof.
